Take a Swim into My Treasure Cove! — Diddi & Bea Mesh High Rise Underwear Review

My first-ever product review! I got to thinking that maybe my readers would enjoy this mermaid's 411 on different products — particularly from a chronic pain perspective. For instance: shopping for clothing basics!

One thing no one tells you about chronic illness is how absolutely annoying it is when clothes are too tight or uncomfortable. They can sometimes be downright painful! For me, undies became torturous because a lot of my pain is right where waistbands and leg bands normally sit.

I've tried so many different types — bikinis, boy shorts, thongs, you name it! — and everything always ended up uncomfortable.

So when I stumbled upon a small business making underwear with chronic pain in mind, I was intrigued. Enter: Diddi & Bea.

Today's Treasure Cove Find

Now let's circle back to the main star of today's Treasure Cove review: pain-free undies!

I wanted to love these so much. The owners were so sweet, and I love the idea behind their product. However, these just didn't work for me — and that could totally come down to personal preference! If you disagree with me, that's okay too. I do think these could work for other chronic pain warriors, just unfortunately not for me.

Size

The company was nice enough to send me two sizes to try: an XL and an XXXL. I think the XXXL may have been meant to be an XXL. The XL felt too tight, while the XXXL was a bit loose — but that was fine.

Both pairs the company sent me — the XL (black) and the XXXL (grey) — laid out so you can see the size difference.

Experience

I noticed immediately when I put these on that I wouldn't have extra pressure and irritation where I normally do with undies. The sides were cut all the way up to the waist, and there were no tight leg bands — just a clean, seamless look.

Comfort

Personally, I need full back coverage for everyday undies. I've reached an age where pulling out a thong for a normal day is just not enjoyable. I want everything that should be covered, covered. And I don't want to feel like I'm walking around with a wedgie all day. These were cut a bit too cheeky for me to feel fully comfortable in. That said, there were moments when I didn't even notice I was wearing them. It just took me a while to stop fixating on the wedgie-in-progress as I went about my day.

Durability

These stretched like crazy during wear and washing. You can already see the leg holes starting to wear and fray, and they definitely don't fit like they did on the first wear.

Is it Dupe-able?

I tried a pair of high-leg panties from Victoria's Secret because the cut reminded me of the Diddi & Bea ones. The waistband on these was thick and tighter, and the leg holes had bands that could get uncomfortable. Quick heads-up though, my mermaids: the exact pink-and-white stripe in my photo could change — they rotate their patterns constantly. The style is the same, so just peek at the current colorways on the product page if that exact stripe is gone.

Yes, they give you a bit more room, but I wouldn't recommend them if tummy issues are part of your chronic condition. The back is also cut narrower for a cheekier look — to be

expected with a brand like VS.

My Final Splash

So here's the deep-sea truth: Diddi & Bea didn't become my everyday undies — but I respect the heck out of a small business building something with chronic pain warriors in mind. The high-cut, band-free design genuinely solved my worst irritation problem, and if you're a cheeky-cut lover whose hips and waist are the pain zones, these might just be your treasure. For this mermaid, I need full coverage and something that survives the wash without fraying into seaweed.
